Anshu joins the Investment Team at Athera after over 5 years of experience across consulting, strategy and product roles at some of India’s biggest startups and VC firms.
Experience
Anshu comes with a proven track record of working on strategic initiatives across diverse sectors, including fintech, social media and hospitality. After a brief consulting stint Anshu joined OYO in a strategy role where he worked on the mitigation of hotels churn. Anshu then joined ShareChat’s product team where he build features to enhance Tier 2/3 India’s social experience. Anshu was also part of the early team that built Moj, ShareChat’s short video platform that now has 100M+ users. Before joining Athera, he worked in the CEO’s Office at Navi, reporting to Sachin Bansal and leading product and strategy charters for their lending and AMC business.
In the venture capital space, Anshu has worked on identifying investment opportunities and building sector theses through internships at Bessemer Venture Partners and Hummingbird Ventures.
Education
Anshu holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. His scholarly achievements include being the board topper in his 12th and receiving multiple awards including KVPY fellowship, Reliance Capital Scholarship, CSSS Scholarship, INBA scholarship to name a few.
Outside of work, you can find him attending hip hop workshops or binge watching the latest anime.
